<p class="texto">O Japão, a Armênia, Austrália, Filipinas, Ucrânia e Singapura, assim como Taiwan, decidiram deixar de importar carne de porco da Suécia, informou à AFP a Associação da Indústria da Carne (KCF, na sigla em sueco) do país, embora a peste suína só tenha sido encontrada em javalis até o momento.</p>
<p class="texto">"Não me parece razoável, mas é um procedimento comum quando são detectados casos de peste suína africana", disse o diretor da KCF, Magnus Därth.</p>
<p class="texto">Sete casos de javalis mortos já foram identificados desde 6 de setembro nos arredores de Fagersta, cerca de 145 quilômetros a noroeste de Estocolmo.</p>
<p class="texto">A origem da epidemia ainda é desconhecida.</p>
<p class="texto">A peste suína africana não é transmitida aos seres humanos, mas é altamente contagiosa e mortal para os porcos e outros animais, como os javalis.</p>
<p class="texto">Um surto pode ser devastador para a indústria suína, dizem os especialistas.</p>
<p class="texto">A Suécia produz aproximadamente 30 mil toneladas de carne de porco por ano, e quase a metade dessa quantidade é destinada para países da União Europeia.</p>

O Japão, a Armênia, Austrália, Filipinas, Ucrânia e Singapura, assim como Taiwan, decidiram deixar de importar carne de porco da Suécia, informou à AFP a Associação da Indústria da Carne (KCF, na sigla em sueco) do país, embora a peste suína só tenha sido encontrada em javalis até o momento.
"Não me parece razoável, mas é um procedimento comum quando são detectados casos de peste suína africana", disse o diretor da KCF, Magnus Därth.
Sete casos de javalis mortos já foram identificados desde 6 de setembro nos arredores de Fagersta, cerca de 145 quilômetros a noroeste de Estocolmo.
A origem da epidemia ainda é desconhecida.
A peste suína africana não é transmitida aos seres humanos, mas é altamente contagiosa e mortal para os porcos e outros animais, como os javalis.
Um surto pode ser devastador para a indústria suína, dizem os especialistas.
A Suécia produz aproximadamente 30 mil toneladas de carne de porco por ano, e quase a metade dessa quantidade é destinada para países da União Europeia.
